We took this site from a D to an A in both Page Speed and YSlow via GTmetrics. Site speed has become a major consideration if you are interested in search engine optimization. Google has made it a policy to punish sites that intentionally attempt to influence search ranking results by using old methods like link building, article marketing, forum and directory submissions. Google says to rank well you need to provide a good user experience and that begins with speed.

We have used many techniques to optimize this site for this much improved performance. We compressed images, added caching software, run content through a Content Delivery Network (CDN), set expiry codes, adjusted loading order of CSS and javascripts, minified CSS and javascripts and much more.

This site was not even being indexed by google. We will check back to see what the site stats have to tell us in a couple months.
